School Bus Drivers- To Start 2015-2016 School Year

The Arc Carroll County has openings for a Special Needs certified school bus driver. Start now and get trained for the start of the 2015-2016 School Year! Driver will transport special needs children to and from school, conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle; maintain trip reports and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. CDL with passenger, airbrake and school bus endorsements required; will train if necessary. Positions are part-time. Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education. The Arc offers benefits for part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week.

 

Part Time Transportation Floater- To Start 2015-16 School Year

 The Arc Carroll County has an opening for a Transportation Floater. This is a combined position that includes a Special Needs Certified School Bus Driver and School Bus Assistant. Start now and get trained for the start of the 2015-2016 School Year! Driver will transport special needs children to and from school, conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle; maintain trip reports and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. CDL with passenger, airbrake and school bus endorsements required; The Arc will send for CDL  training if necessary. School Bus Assistant provides support and supervision to special needs students. This 10 month, Monday-Friday, part- time position will allow the transportation department to schedule the “floater” wherever the daily need. Split hours include early mornings and afternoon and/or evenings. Includes health insurance eligibility. Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education.

  

Substitute School Bus Assistant- To Start 2015-16 School Year

School bus assistant provides support and supervision to special needs students. Positions are part-time substitute and fills-in as the situation arises.  All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education.

 

Full Time Residential Advisor- MD CNA Required

The Arc Carroll County has a Full-Time opening for a Residential Advisor. Maryland CNA is required for this particular package. Duties include supervision of direct care staff, daily management and operation of the residential house, assist residents in acquiring and maintaining appropriate independent and social skills, transportation of residents as necessary and all required record keeping.  Requirements include: high school diploma or GED with MD-CNA, AA degree or 60 credit hours in related human services field and/or equivalent education and experience. Supervisory experience highly prefered.

 

Certified Nursing Assistants

Duties will include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families. We require a high school diploma or GED, current CNA certification, a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points; clean driving and criminal records, and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. Entry level rate is $12.00 per hour.   All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. The Arc offers benefits for part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week.  Various schedules available.  Most include some evening and weekend hours.

 

Community Living Assistants

Part-time Community Living Assistants are needed in several of our ALU’s to assist adults with developmental disabilities. Duties include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families. We require a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points, clean driving and criminal records, and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends. The Arc provides benefits for employees scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week. Entry-level rate is $10.00 per hour.
