Director of Development and Major Gifts

The Arc Carroll County has an opening for Director of Development and Major Gifts. This is a full-time exempt level position with full time benefit eligibility.

Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in annual giving and/or major gifts solicitation in the human services field, as well as some work in the corporate/foundation community, grant-writing experience, plus organizational and planning skills, including the ability to work in a team environment.

Duties Include: Plan, develop and maintain a comprehensive private and public sector development program to enhance the mission and vision of The Arc Carroll County.  This will include major and planned giving, annual giving, individual and corporate donor programs to identify, attract and obtain philanthropic support for The Arc Carroll County.

 

Emplyment and Day Support Specialists

The Arc Carroll County has openings for Employment and Day Support Specialists. These are part-time 30hr/week positions that helps individuals find employment and provide supports for our individuals in living the life they desire and support in their vocational success. 

Requirements Include: High school diploma or GED, one year experience working with persons who are developmentally disabled preferred, clean criminal and driving record, with no more than 2 current points and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs. The completion of Arc-provided training is also required. All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. The Arc offers benefits for part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week. Entry level rate is $10.00 per hour.

 

Substitute School Bus Drivers

The Arc Carroll County has openings for a Special Needs certified school bus driver. Start now and get trained for the start of the 2015-2016 School Year! Driver will transport special needs children to and from school, conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle; maintain trip reports and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. CDL with passenger, airbrake and school bus endorsements required; will train if necessary. Positions are part-time. Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education. The Arc offers benefits for part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week.

 

Substitute School Bus Assistant

School bus assistant provides support and supervision to special needs students. Positions are part-time substitute and fills-in as the situation arises.  All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education.

 

Certified Nursing Assistants

Duties will include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families. We require a high school diploma or GED, current CNA certification, a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points; clean driving and criminal records, and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. Entry level rate is $12.00 per hour.   All candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records. The Arc offers benefits for part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week.  Various schedules available.  Most include some evening and weekend hours.

 

Community Living Assistants

Part-time Community Living Assistants are needed in several of our ALU’s to assist adults with developmental disabilities. Duties include assisting in the implementation of Individual Program plans, collecting data; assisting with daily living activities and transportation; encourage relationship building and community participation of residents, and their families. We require a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers’ license with no more than 2 points, clean driving and criminal records, and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs.  Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends. The Arc provides benefits for employees scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week. Entry-level rate is $10.00 per hour.
