The following positions are currently available:

 

DIRECT CARE OPPORTUNITIES:

 

Day Program Specialist

Provides supervision and support to clients in our Day Program in pursuit of living the life they desire. Ideal candidates will be versatile, flexible and creative.  

Schedules are primarily Monday through Friday  9am-3pm.

 

 Employment Specialists

Provides instruction, training, supervision and support to clients at individual employment sites and in group settings. Ideal candidates will be versatile, flexible and creative.

Schedules are primarily Monday through Friday  9am-3pm

 

Certified Nursing Assistants

Assists in the implementation of Individual Program plans and collection of data; assists with daily living activities and transportation; encourages relationship building and community participation of residents and their families.

Various schedules available. Most include some evening and weekend hours.

 

Community Living Assistants

Assists in the implementation of Individual Program plans and collection of data; assists with daily living activities and transportation; encourages relationship building and community participation of residents and their families.

Various schedules available. Hours are primarily evenings and weekends.

 

Support Services Aides

Conducts activities with individuals according to each person's service plan.  Includes assistance with daily living activities, transportation, building relationships and community participation.

Various schedules available. Most include some evening and weekend hours.

 

Requirements for all above positions:

Requirements for all above positions include: High school diploma or GED, clean criminal and driving record, a valid driver's license with no more than 2 current points and the ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs. One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Completion of Arc-provided training is also required. The Arc offers benefits with select part-time positions. Entry level rate is $10.10 per hour. Entry level rate for CNA is $12.10 per hour. Some positions eligible for rate differentials.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:

 

Director of Employment Services (Full-Time Exempt)

Responsible for the overall management of programs and services provided by Day, Community Employment, Vocational, and Educational Partnership Programs and ensures compliance with established budget, as well as all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Sociology or Vocational Evaluation and at least one year of professional experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities, preferably coordinating human service programs, required.  Master’s degree highly preferred.  Supervisory experience, business administration experience, computer proficiency, solid communication skills and the proven ability to develop and maintain relationships a must. Completion of CPR, First Aid and other Developmental Disabilities Administration and Arc-required training, plus a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 points on current record and a clean criminal record and drug screen required.

 

Program Coordinator-Autism Services

Responsible for the overall coordination of Autism Services; develop and design program to meet the needs of the individuals attending the programs and their families, connect and network with community organizations and write funding grants for program continuation and/or program development. This is a part-time position of 10-15 hours per week with growth potential! Completion of CPR, First Aid and other Developmental Disabilities Administration and Arc-required training, plus a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 points on current record and a clean criminal record and drug screen required.  Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Sociology or Vocational Evaluation and at least one year of professional experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities, preferably coordinating human service programs, required. 

  

 

 

TRANSPORTATION OPPORTUNITIES:


School Bus Drivers

Driver will transport special needs children to and from school, conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle; maintain trip reports and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. CDL with passenger, airbrake and school bus endorsements required; will train if necessary. Positions are part-time. Applicants must also meet requirements of Carroll County Board of Education. The Arc offers benefits for part-time employees working at least 25 hours per week.

Bus routes consist of split days with early morning shifts and afternoon shifts Monday through Friday. Bus routes operate 10 months per year, consistent with the Carroll County Public Schools Schedule.

Starting Driver rate is $16.86/hour.
