The Arc Carroll County earns Three-Year CARF Accreditation

Westminster, MD, December 18, 2017 — CARF International announced that The Arc Carroll County has been accredited for a period of three years for its community employment; employment and job development, community housing, community integration, family services, personal supports, respite, supported living and transition services.  The latest accreditation is the 8th consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has given to The Arc Carroll County.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Donald Rowe, executive director of The Arc stated, “This outcome helps to demonstrate the staff’s and board’s commitment to assuring that services are the highest quality and represent the best practices within the industry.  I commend our staff for their tireless dedication to our mission, vision and values.
