Youth Service Bureau???s Lynn Davis Receives Volunteerism Award for her work at The Arc Carroll County

Lynn Davis, Executive Director of Carroll County Youth Service Bureau, was recognized for her service to The Arc Carroll County at the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS) Volunteer Award Luncheon on June 19th, 2013. The MACS Annual Awards spotlight volunteers who generously offer their time and talents to improve the lives of persons with developmental disabilities. Mrs. Davis has been involved with The Arc for two years, and is currently serving as the non-profit organization’s Board President. The ARC champions for and supports people with developmental disabilities in their pursuit of a fulfilling life.  “Lynn’s visionary leadership has helped The Arc achieve much success, which includes preparing for a major building renovation, during the time she has served as President of the board,” said Don Rowe, Executive Director for The Arc Carroll County. “We are thrilled she was recognized by MACS, along with other statewide leaders who are truly making a difference for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.” Mrs. Davis is the Executive Director of Youth Service Bureau, an organization which has provided outpatient mental health services in Carroll County since 1972 and offers a range of treatments and programs for children, adults, and families in Carroll County. As the mother of a young woman served by The Arc Carroll County, Lynn sets the example for other parents of children with developmental disabilities:  she seeks as much independence as possible for her daughter both now and in the future.
